Welcome to Haslemere’s first community cooking project
Working in collaboration with local businesses and volunteer services, our aim is simply to encourage people from all corners of the community to come together, one Sunday every fortnight, to cook and eat simple, nutritious and delicious meals made from fresh ingredients donated to us by our local supermarkets and butchers.
When, where and how…

When
Dates for the diary – 30th June and14th July from 2pm. After the 14th July we will be holding our meals on the first and third Sunday of the month from 1pm. Check twitter and Facebook for updates.

Where

Who (eats)
Everyone and anyone. The principal purpose of the project is to serve all and any who need it but we would also like to welcome anyone in the community who will simply feel enriched by sharing a meal with their neighbours.

Who (cooks)
Volunteers from the community including members of The Haslemere Kitchen team and the Haslemere Food Bank. If you are interested in volunteering, please click here (don’t worry, no experience required) or use the form at the bottom of the page.

How much
We ask for a minimum donation of £1 per diner for the meal to help us to keep our community kitchen running
A big thanks to…
the following people for their support.

We’re looking for volunteers
We are looking for approximately 3-5 volunteers to help us slice, dice, stir and serve our fortnightly community meals. No prior experience is required, only enthusiasm and common sense needed! Volunteers will work as a group with the Haslemere Kitchen staff to plan and cook a three course meal made from the surplus food donated to us by our local supermarkets and butcher.
